Christmas Snippets

Five days until Christmas and I am ahead of schedule!
(Trust me, this does not usually happen!)

So, now I have some extra time to do some baking,

 or some reading,

watch 2 of my grands in their first Christmas program,

or help my youngest son paint his new house,

 see a movie with Husband,

help my daughter-in-law set up for Christmas Eve at church,

 or all of the above!

It also gives me time to reflect

on the true meaning of this holiday season,

the great mercy and love of God as He sent His Son
into the world to be our savior!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas House Tour: Bedrooms

I had so much fun this year decorating the kids' room!

It always looks festive in here anyway, because of all the color!

The Santa and Angel were always on our doors
when my brothers and I were children!
(That's a while ago!)

This little bear is wearing reindeer antlers and reading a Christmas book!

The small tree has toys hanging from it and sitting under it!

Snowflakes fall in front of the window!

The guest room is a bit more sedate!

I just changed out the bedding for something red!

And added a small wreath.

Christmas House Tour: Living Room

You've already seen the mantle, but I added some snowflakes
hanging from the ceiling.

So, let's see the rest of the room!
(You see the empty table under the window? Still need the tree!)

This Amish goose sits on the coffee table on a blue and green quilt!

I hung stars from the light fixture.
I really like how this looks and I will probably keep it this way for a while!

I count the entry as part of the living room.

I love these paper angel wings!

A friend made some last year and I copied hers!
I'm going to show you how to do it soon!

On the entry table, I brought in a little garden element,
sitting in front of my sign with the names of God.

Added greens, candles and pine cones.

Pretty happy with the results, but I gotta go get that tree!

Christmas House Tour: Family Room

My family room at the back of the house is a lot of red and yellow,
so this is where all my old red and green Christmas things live during the holidays!

Quilts and pillows.
The red checked curtains look like they were put up just for the season!

Nutcrackers and Christmas books!

Snowmen and snow globes!

This year I had a 4 and 6 year old helping with the decorating,
thus, some interesting placement of things!

Santas on shelves!

Santa with his horse!

Even Santa on a picnic basket!
