Decorating a Rental, Part 2

This is the second installment of Daughter's Cozy Apartment: Kitchen and Bedroom.
(For Part 1, see here)

She decided on a black and white theme and continued it throughout, getting permission to paint.
She gave the kitchen cabinets a fresh coat of black semi-gloss paint, and it made them look very up-to-date. Instead of closing in the kitchen, it now looks more modern and hip.

She added red and turquoise for accents in the kitchen, with a shelf to hold the microwave and utensils, keeping the counters free of clutter.

Black and white continued in the bedroom, but with navy as the main accent color.

A really eye-catching display of photos.

The other corner holds a cabinet handed down from her great-great aunt, usually found in a dining room, but makes a great statement here, also painted black.

The outfit changes often!

Globe collection.

The cabinet has an Art Deco design painted on the glass doors, original from the 1920s.

I also love this little bedside table she painted in a black and white geometric.
I need to get her to show me how she did it!

Another very smart thing she did, was to paint all the doors and trim black.
It ties everything together and looks great!
