Working on the Hall Bath

I have recently begun work on the hall bath. I'm not finished yet, but I couldn't wait to share what has been done so far! When we moved in, we replaced the vanity and painted everything white, that's about it. I didn't know what I wanted to do in there until I found my inspiration:

this grey and white shower curtain from TJ Max.

From there, I painted the vanity grey,

added beadboard wallpaper and painted the top part of the wall,

and started to add some details like a French picture,

fleur-de-lis tp holder

and towel hook,

and a mirrored window to create a feel of more space in this small bath.

There's still much more to do, like all the trim!

But I am so happy with what we've done so far!

Can't wait to get it all done!

Dining Chairs Slipcovered with Pleats and Fleur-de-lis

Aren't these chairs cute?

This is what they looked like when I first got them!

I knew I was going to paint them white,

but I didn't know what I was going to do with the seat covers.
I finally settled on dropcloth, then decided to do pleats,

The pleats continue around the back.

I felt they needed something else, so I painted a grey fleur-de-lis on the seat.

They look adorable with this claw foot table!

Furniture Project: Beautiful Vintage Round End Table

This cute little table was given to me because its owner didn't want it any more.

It had a beautiful shape and storage is always a plus!

Grey paint and white for the top and to highlight the details.

This was the original look; it had seen better days.

A beautiful robin's egg blue for the inside.

New fleur-de-lis knobs from Hobby Lobby.

Love it!

New Spring Mantel for the New Living Room

Since the whole living room got a new look, I couldn't leave out the mantel.

Some of my favorite things ended up here. The window was a gift from a dear friend, I moved it from my craft room.

This piece of tin came out of an old building in Sacramento. This is my favorite color and one of my very favorite things! And I always love fleur de lis.

The large birdhouse needed a new home.

Candles replace the "logs" for spring/summer.
My granddaughter calls this chair her "Goldilocks chair"!

Fits very well with the new look!
